Dear Friends,

The last five years have been a very rewarding time to have served you on the schenectady county legislature. I am proud to have been a part of this exciting time in our county's history. Ray Gillen from metroplex, recently provided us with an update on the results of our economic development programs, and the future looks promising.

By working together, and focusing our efforts on integrating the numerous economic development agencies within our county into one unified economic development team-we have been able to create over 3,000 new jobs, provide over $300 million in new investment county-wide, and add millions of dollars to our tax base. We have been working hard to erase the years of mismanagement and bickering between these various economic entities. The changes we have made and the progress that has resulted will help our community weather the downturn in the broader economy.

As vice-chair of the county legislature, I was glad to be intricately involved in this transition. Our success in economic development will serve as a stunning example of what can be accomplished when we work together to other areas of New York State, and should continue to provide our residents with good jobs and stable tax base in the years to come.

While we have come a long way, there remains much work to be done. There are those who would return to the old ways of doing business, where political agendas and bickering determined our future. We must not let that happen! It is more important now than ever before to have an economic development and job-creating stategy that works. One that puts the interests of our people first.

As such, I will be running for re-election to the county legislature in November-to continue this progress and sustain the momentum that our economic development programs have generated. I am asking people like yourself-who want to keep schenectady county moving forward-to help kick-off my re-election fund. Running for public office is very expensive, and I appreciate any support that you can provide. Please contribute what you feel you can in this very crusical endeavor, and allow our progress to continue.

Perhaps Ms. Dago doesn't realize that she 'is' the old way of doing buisness. And I'd have to guess that this statement came right out of a socialist handbook. And if it isn't already, it should be.

We are seeking change from 'this OLD present' way of doing business.

I and my family would like to humblely thank Judy and her family for the good things they have done as leaders in our community who care. If it were not for these here people this town would still be a one horse town with bad leadership and that there and deficits and such in the county and town. She is class. Judy Dagostino is just the tops in my opinion. Thank you Judy, Bob and Dom for all you do.

the county legislature should give judy some money for her reelection campaign  we need more poeple like judy in goverment.  glad that she came to her senses when she switched parties and joined the winning team

3,000 new jobs where? At Super Steel? At the Big Hose? The Krats repeat the same lies over and over again. They actually lost IDA jobs according to the State Comptroller's audit. What did she say about the Duanesburg library addition? So much for her promises. Silent Judy D understands the importance of high taxes. A reliable YES vote for higher taxes and patronage hiring.

Personally, I'm not sure about this prediction. I think they could have perhaps made a better choice than Mike V. Judy will definately get the dem votes and now the con's. Remember who her son is.

I'm not saying I hope she wins, cause I don't. She has been the worst Rotterdam representative ever! She does absolutely nothing for our towns. Yes there was the failed Duanesburg library and let us not forget the botched little league park. I guess the only thing she really has going for her, that gave her merit with the dems, is the sale of the republican club.

The only thing in which Judy has been "intricately" involved is the advancement of her son, Dominick - her only purpose for involvement in politics to begin with. You'll remember that prior to the surprise and sudden opening in the Sheriff's office, she wasn't even going to
run again, because Dominick was going to retire. And because he's retiring, he decided that he wants to be the new Sheriff in town. So
once again, Judy will run one more time in exchange for kicking the poached Constantine to the curb in favor of Dominick.
And the only "stunning" aspect of the Metrokratz Cartel is the number of sheeple apparently buying this scam.

Judy will only get the votes of Conservative robots from the union. It may be close in Rotterdam, and maybe even Princetown, but she
will be crushed in Duanesburg...they will determine the winner.
And the only thing that gave her merit with the Kratz is the fact that they had no one to run! How lucky for them that Dominick wants to be Sheriff, which they instantly saw as the leverage they needed to keep Judy in the race. They already recycled Godlewski to run for
Rotterdam Supervisor. Beyond that, they were tapped! Why do you think they poached Constantine for Sheriff? Why do you think they
were courting newly minted Conservative, Holly Vellano, straight to the endorsement/authorization line?
I personally believe that Holly switched to Conservative in full anticipation of being denied the Conservative line as a Republican, as
she was in the last county cycle, to make a Conservative Primary easier (she would now get a lever, as opposed to the more difficult
write-in). But now the Kratz are desperate for candidates, so Quail et al. are likely stroking her, promising her the majority moon (as
they did to get Constantine to switch to Democrat for the same reason - no candidate!) Best of all for Holly, is that if she runs as a
Demokrat, she won't have to primary at all - as the Krat serfs known as the Executive Board of the Schenectady County Conservative
Party will now endorse her! The unfortunate side for Holly is that Conservatives who are conservative will see no difference between
putting a Demokrat on the Conservative line, or a Conservative on the Demokrat line! It's all the same to them.

Although I'm not a supporter of Dagostino, the rumored Republican candidates are weak at best.  I predict that Holly Vellano will be the top vote getter.  Finishing second will be a horse race between Viscusi and Dagostino.  He/she who takes the vote in the hilltowns will emerge victorious.

As someone who usually pulls the lever on the Republican line, I will likely either vote for a third party candidate (if there is one) or abstain from voting for District 4 County Legislature.

If you're right LAJ than Judy D is finished. Sorry to hear that you will be giving her another pass. She promised to get the Duanesburg Library addition completed. How's that going? The people in the Hilltowns will remember this Nov. If the Reps put a Hilltown candidate together with Mike V they can pick up a seat in District 4.

Though I appreciate your optimism, I must respectfully disagree with your prediction.  I suspect that the Dems will likely sweep the county legislative races this fall due to the lackluster Republican candidates and the continuing poor Republican party leadership.  Until and unless the Republicans elect a new County Chair and attract candidates who are new on the scene, not political retreads or candidates who are connected to those presently in office, the party will not increase its presence in government.

Any word on the status of Godlewski's FOIL requests?  Look for him to expose an issue that will impact this election.  He is searching for a platform.  I suspect that he may uncover one.
