didn't he (Mertz) run once against Paul Tonko as a sacrificial lamb?

Yes, I believe it was Mr. Tonko's final run at the Assembly before he took his dream job only to quit it in quick succession.

Word on the street is Stevie Ego has been spotted in a few soup lines around the county.  Any truth to the rumor that Ego has been fired from his cushy state job?.  Now he gets to feel what its like to have kids in college, bills to pay and no job.  What goes round comes round for politician like Stevie Ego, Mertz and soon to be ex-county employees Joe and Steve Signore.  Stay tuned.  Jimmy Jump shots loss is still shakin the core of Rotterdam politics.  Hey is Buchanan and Parisi still suckling at the public teet?  Not for long after the Dems take back the Town.

Politics and political ideologies are one thing. But 'personal' is something different. I don't think that 'anyone' losing their job should be celebrated. I don't care who they are!

Sorry PDQ, but your intelligence is beyond reproach. You're a real piece of work!! You clearly do not have both oars in the water.

What lives were ruined?  I hear anyone that USED to work for the town has found alternate employment in neighboring communities, right?

Happens with every change of administration / party - nothing new here. Dems do it. Reps do it too.  Why are you surprised John?

Sounds like PDQ has a personal axe to grind, huh? Perhaps PDQ is a disgruntled  X-rotterdam town employee....perhaps?

I certainly hope you are not accessing this message board while at work on the taxpayer's dime!!!

Perhaps I am a disgruntled taxpayer who was treated fairly by previous employees of the town and was sorry to see them go.  I have said it before and I say it again I am not who you think i am.  I hate the direction Stevie Ego has taken this town and that it is coming not only from me but from many long tenured Rotterdam residents.  My family and friends are happy that Steve and his family still have their health and each other.  I will pray for them.

Too late for explanations PDQ. You are a day late and a dollar short!  And perhaps you don't even live in Rotterdam any longer. Perhaps you are just still 'connected'.Like I said....perhaps you are on this message board on the taxpayer's dime! IMHO

Perhaps we could call PDQ's place of 'present' employment and see if he's at work. Perhaps they could check the computer for his internet surfings.... Perhaps?  IMHO
