Gillibrand doesn't have an email account setup yet - at least nothing on her .gov website.

So much for contacting them anyway/every way possible.  What a load of horseshit.

It seems pretty clear to me that our Senators in Washington don't really care what we think and are hell bent on ramming this bailout down our throats.

If you are a pleb, you would want to contact your Representative. Senators represent the aristocracy, and by being a member of this forum, I would have to consider us of the pleb status.

I just sent the following message (with modifications to addressee) to Republican Senators Olympia Snow, Susan Collins, and Arlen Spector:

Quoted Text
Dear Senator Spector,

Although I am not a consistuent in your U.S. Senate District, I feel compelled to write to you to express my disappointment that you and Senators Snow and Collins have cast your votes in support of the $838B "stimulus" bill.

Recent polls have found that Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to the passage of such a large spending bill.  We have concerns that the bill does more to advance a liberal social agenda than to stimulate an ailing U.S. economy.  Americans have expressed their preference for greater emphasis on tax cuts and less on government spending.  I have provided below a web URL to one such public opinion poll conducted by Rasmussen.

http://www.rasmussenreports.co.....x_cuts_less_spending

As further evidence of the disapproval of the spending bill just passed by the U.S. Senate, the Dow Jones Industrial is down 340 points at 1:50 pm ET, a staggering 4.12 % in a single day.

The public is rightly concerned about the lack of accountability and transparency in government.  We are fearful that this massive spending, the largest in history, will devalue the U.S. currency, disincent foreign investment in our nation, and lead to hyper-inflation.

It is not surprising that the Democrat majority in Congress is in favor of passing such an expensive piece of legislation as it will endear them to their "big government" constituency and drive their liberal/socialist agenda.  What is perplexing to me is that you and Senators Collins and Snow, will break from the fiscally conservative Republican minority in support of this bill.

I respectfully ask that you reconsider and withdraw your support of the "stimulus" bill and work to develop a plan that will promote private investment, create permanent and high paying career jobs, and entrust the public with the stimulus funding in the form of tax cuts.

If you would like to discuss my thoughts, I can be reached by phone at (518 )XXX-XXXX.  I thank you for your time and consideration.

Respectfully,

Bradley E. Littlefield

You are closer to the 'truth' than you know.....only it is bigger than your backyard......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
