Bailed Out Bank of America Sponsors Super Bowl Fun Fest
Morgan Stanley Hosts Conference at 5-Star Resort in Palm Beach

By BRIAN ROSS, MEGAN CHUCHMACH, ASA ESLOCKER and JOE RHEE
February 2, 2009—

Despite a near collapse that required $45 billion in federal taxpayer bailout funds, Bank of America sponsored a five day carnival-like affair just outside the Super Bowl stadium this past week as President Obama decried wasteful spending on Wall St.

The event known as the NFL Experience was 850,000 square feet of sports games and interactive entertainment attractions for football fans and was blanketed in Bank of America logos and marketing calls to sign up for football-themed banking products.

The bank staunchly defended its sponsorship, saying it was a "business proposition" and part of its "growth strategy."

Critics blasted the spending as a serious abuse of taxpayer money.

"The prominent sponsorship of the Super Bowl says to the American people we'll take your money and then we're going to go waste it," Tom Schatz, president of Citizens Against Government Waste, a watchdog group, told ABC News.

Leading Congressional critic, Congressman Elijah Cummings, (D-MD), said, "They should know better, but obviously they don't."................................http://www.abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=6782719&page=1

Good reasons to pull out of either of these companies if you have investments or accounts with them.  BOA was even the one a while ago that would open accounts for illegal immigrants, not even asking for paperwork, in fact encouraging people to come in to open new accounts if they DIDN'T have paperwork.

Everytime we complain about banks(that should be very private machines for anyone) the government encroaches more and more.....as I see it we
all need to use what we have and stop barking up or getting loaded up with debt by these banks.....no one makes us use them.....

as for 'illegal immigrants' what do we think banks are...maybe not illegal immigrants but, more like legal gangsta thugs....couple that with fed regulations
and we will ALWAYS BE ON THE LOSING SIDE......the 'illegals' are the least of our worries......

when the banks start paying our own taxpaid police forces to evict us (just as other 'landlords' do) then we shall see what they are made of.......let the
loansharks stop lending.....trade will still happen.....'prohibition' anyone?????

illegal immigrants are small compared to Mr.Obama capping CEO pay......you see as the top gets clamped down on as a sort of 'scapegoat' it sets the
stage for other governmental controls and invasions.....

IE:National health care......how much $ do we all think nurses and MD's should recieve for their governmental work under this new system???

we must be very careful not to hand over our liberties so fearfully/blindly........

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

what a great thing, huh?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
