She can have all the kids she wants so long as she can pay for them without welfare. |

Well good, keep speaking for the people. When they finally LISTEN to what you and yours are saying, they will throw the whole bunch of you out on your as_es! |

I wish the state of Cali. would sue the doctor for causing this situation. Why should the state/taxpayers pay for this Mother's/doctor's stupidity? |

Well, these babies are here now...so what do we do with them? I don't think there is a choice. Yes, the taxpayers will foot the bill for these kids for years and years to come. But let me ask....is this any different than what the government does to us by creating all of these government programs? We just keep paying and paying. And on the flip side, what about paying for all of these abortions? WE PAY FOR THEM WITH OUR TAX DOLLAR!!! Should we have paid for the abortion of these 8 babies instead? Should we have paid to kill them instead? Sticky subject, huh? |

Sorry octuplet story --Sun-Sentinel, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
How in the world is she going to do it? And what is it going to cost the rest of us? Those are the central questions swirling around the once-inspiring story of Nadya Suleman, the 33-yearold California woman who gave miraculous birth on Jan. 26 to octuplets. The medical success story that warmed the hearts of millions quickly made as many jaws go slack when we later learned that Suleman will not only be caring for eight newborns, but that she already has six other young children at home, including one with autism. Almost everyone has an opinion about Suleman’s decision to take these odds, and to drag the rest of us along with her, since it is hard to believe this family will not be needing society’s help. Let’s call it what it is: indulgent, irresponsible and unethical on Suleman’s part, and on the part of the doctors who helped her get....................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....amp;EntityId=Ar00705

If we could go to the source of the rage that is being misdirected into violent threats against Suleman, we might discover that it is, at root, a condemnation of behaviors that sap life, in the name of giving life, in a time in our history when many are struggling with how to promote life with increasingly limited resources at their disposal.
At the core of this rage, at best, is a recognition and resistance to idolatrous behaviors that insist on overriding our creaturely limitations, building towers as high up in the sky as can possibly be built, oblivious to the fact that those who are standing on the ground are paying the bills.
But wait I seem to have moved to another topic. Perhaps this food-stamp mom is merely mimicking the idolatrous behavior she has learned from her economic superiors, just in her own way. |

Yep, it is the people who pay the taxes fault because they actually work 14 hours a day after having spent 17 years getting an education. Poor and stupid people are perfect just like Jesus said. And Sal. |

What are the chances someone will nominate her (or she will nominate herself) for Extreme Makeover Home Edition and they'll build her a 12 bedroom house, maybe 6 baths, several 50 something inch TV's, a limo service, round the clock nurses, lifetime supply of diapers, all the furniture and who knows what else, and a fund to fully cover the costs of all 14 kids college
If that happens, I'll never watch Extreme Makeover again.
Aside from that wild thought, well, Child Protective has a duty to put the kids first even if that means they cannot let her keep her children. And child protective should not be looking to spend our tax dollars on nurses in the home. When that woman chose to have another child, she knew she could not support the ones she already had. There are many childless couples, financially stable with the ability to parent a child, who have waited for years and years to adopt. It would be for the best |
