CLINTON FOUNDATION DONOR LIST: Tens Of Millions Of Dollars Raised From Foreign Governments

Among the donors to the foundation are some that may represent conflicts of interest for Hillary Clinton in her role as Secretary of State, according to the The New York Times:
Also among the largest donors were a Nigerian businessman who was close to the onetime military ruler in that African country, a Ukrainian tycoon who was son-in-law of that former Soviet republic's authoritarian president and a Canadian mining executive who took Mr. Clinton to Kazakhstan while trying to win lucrative uranium contracts.
Such contributions could provoke suspicion at home and abroad among those wondering about any effect on administration policy.
Matthew Levitt, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said donations from "countries where we have particularly sensitive issues and relations" would invariably raise concerns about whether Mrs. Clinton had conflicts of interest. "The real question," Mr. Levitt said, "is to what extent you can really separate the activities and influence of any husband and wife, and certainly a husband and wife team that is such a powerhouse."
The potential for appearances of conflict was illustrated by Amar Singh, a politician in India who gave $1 million to $5 million. Mr. Singh visited Washington in September to lobby for a deal allowing India to obtain civilian nuclear fuel and technology even though it never signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty. He met with Mrs. Clinton, who he said later assured him that Democrats would not block the deal. Congress approved it days later.
Scroll down to see the statement from the Clinton Foundation on its donors:
Former President Bill Clinton laid out a list of big-ticket donors to his foundation Thursday that is heavy with foreign governments and business interests sure to have a stake in the policies that Hillary Rodham Clinton carries out as secretary of state.
Saudi Arabia and other foreign governments gave at least $46 million, while corporate donors included the Blackwater security firm that protects U.S. diplomats in Iraq.
The contributions went to the William J. Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit created by the former president to finance his library in Little Rock, Ark., and charitable efforts to reduce poverty and treat AIDS. President-elect Barack Obama made Hillary Clinton's nomination as secretary of state contingent on her husband revealing the foundation's contributors, to avoid questions about potential conflicts of interest.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave $10 million to $25 million to the foundation, and other government donors included Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Italy and Jamaica. The Dutch national lottery gave $5 million to $10 million.
The Blackwater Training Center donated $10,001 to $25,000. The State Department will have to decide next year whether to renew Blackwater Worldwide's contract to protect U.S. diplomats in Iraq. Five Blackwater guards have been indicted by a U.S. grand jury on manslaughter and weapons charges stemming from a September 2007 firefight in Baghdad's Nisoor Square in which 17 Iraqis died.
The Clinton Foundation released a statement outlining the numerous initiatives that donor money has gone to:
The seven initiatives include: the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Clinton Climate Initiative, the Clinton Hunter Development Initiative, the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative, the Clinton Economic Opportunity Initiative, and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The Foundation also funded the construction of the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas, which was turned over to the people and government of the United States in November, 2004.
"I want to personally express my deepest appreciation to our many contributors, who remain steadfast partners in our work to impact the lives of so many around the world in measurable and meaningful ways." said President Clinton. "We have just begun and it is an honor and privilege to be on this journey alongside each and every person who is committed to our foundation's ongoing charitable mission."
The Clinton Foundation has received contributions of all sizes, from people of all means. The median gift amount over the life of the Foundation is $45. Nearly 90% of gifts (179,000 contributors) are valued at $250 or below, with 12,000 individuals contributing $10 or less. In addition, in a sign of the significance of the cause and the effectiveness of the work, a noteworthy 57,000 contributors gave more than once to the Foundation and/or the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund.
I wonder what the foreign governments got in order to donate to the Clinton Foundation?
Better yet.....what will these foreign companies get WHEN HILLARY IS SEC. OF STATE? Preferred treatment? I would believe that it just may cloud her foreign decision making when she fills the seat.
How nice....a 'global good ole' boys club'!! IMHO

Jon Bon Jovi playing Clinton fundraiser Jan. 15 concert set for Manhattan's Town Hall Associated Press
Jan 5, 2009, 01:03 PM ET The final note of Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign may very well be sung by Jon Bon Jovi.
The musician is performing at a fundraiser for the former presidential candidate as she tries to close out her campaign debt, which stood at $6.3 million as of last month.
The Jan. 15 performance at Manhattan's Town Hall is being billed as "a final evening in support of Hillary Clinton for President Debt Relief." Ticket prices range from $75 to $1,000....
Jon Bon Jovi, huh? I thought it would have been Barbara Streisand! I guess Bab's isn't cool or young enough for Hillary anymore!

There's more on Hillary's legacy! According to the Sunday NYT, a donor of $100,000 to the Clinton Library, got Hillary's support for a $5 million dollar Federal grant for a mall Upstate. According to her mouthpiece this was a mere coincidence and that only proves Hillary's commitment to jobs Upstate. LOL! While everyone is focused on Gov. Richardson and Gov Blago, no one is looking at yet another horrible choice by President-elect Obama. This is the worst start of an incoming administration since U.S. Grant.
If if walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it could be a politiical favor to one of Hillary's big supporters. I don't know who's worse her or Bill.
