Porn definitely a problem; schools should attack it

Columnist Mona Charen wrote an excellent column Dec. 20 ["Pornography's poison destroying the society"] on the proliferation of pornography in mass media and the Internet. It should be required reading in all high schools.
Many of us grew up in an era of open expression and are hardly prudes, but I agree that this descent into unrestrained hedonism has sadly brought an end to what used to be called common decency.
As my generation ages and passes on, our country will be left with a populace desensitized to porn and too busy being titillated in front of the TV or computer to care. As she correctly points out, what aroused yesterday isn't enough the next time and leads to more depraved stimulation.
What Ms. Charen fails to mention, however, is the appalling lack of leadership away from this "cultural poison." With so many politicians and clergy exposed in lurid headlines, is it any wonder our society has sunk this low?
No one wants "Big Brother" in the bedroom, but the voice of reason and awareness in the classroom might help.

Yup.....agree......

although this part of human nature has been around long before we were at twinkle in our daddy/mommy's eyes.....the nature must
learn it's place and boundaries.......we have let it loose without restraint and here we are.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
