Golub receives grocery honor

Neil Golub, president and CEO of Golub Corp., the parent company of Price Chopper Supermarkets, has been named Retail Executive of the Year by the trade publication Grocery Headquarters.
     
The magazine conducts research to assist grocery executives with strategic planning based on issues, events and developments in the industry.

In an article about Golub, 70, the magazine said he "understands the focus necessary to remain relevant today and has "a blend of enthusiasm, boardroom smarts and merchandising savvy.
