That wasn't the least bit funny.  Even more disturbing, he mentions Schenectady.

I was also appalled that the skit ridiculed the blind. Having a legally blind spouse, this was in extremely poor taste.

And where was the outrage over the Sarah Palin skits? Perhaps they were poking fun at the ny govenor's 'physical' disability...but by gosh there were nothing but laughs when snl poked fun at Palin's 'mental' disability (like she was dumb) along with their sexist undertones week after week after week......don't cha think?

It is amazing to see the liberal media come to the defense of 'one of their own', huh?

SNL can create some pretty tasteless skits and you're right Bumble no one said a word when they were belittling Palin and making fun of the way she talked. I guess it depends on which foot the shoe is on.

SNL and Mad TV have ALWAYS pushed the envelope. Every sitting president has been spoofed on SNL. My advise is if anyone finds it distastful..don't watch it. But that certainly wasn't the case when Sarah Palin was being spoofed. The ratings went up week after week. Where was the outrage from Gov. Paterson when every other politician was being satired? How about when they spoofed Spitzer?

The biggest mistake Paterson made was making an issue out of it. Cause you just watch...next Saturday, SNL will get even HIGHER ratings.

I'm surprised they knew how to pronouce Schenectady, this must have been a separate class.....

When I saw it I felt all of the above.  I felt bad for Paterson and I thought that although the text was funny the personna, so to speak, was not.  I think they crossed the line on this one. Just after that thought left my mind I also thought about how they spoofed Palin and couldn't help but wonder why no one was bothered by that.

This is disturbing on many levels. It makes funny of the blind {Gov is legally blind not totally blind!}. Schenectady is mentioned as one "town that have something off about them". Schenectady is lumped with Utica and Syracuse as "shabby coke circles Upstate". Drug abuse isn't funny, blindness isn't funny and SNL hasn't been funny for decades.

Agree with BT the same liberals that were praising SNL for ripping Gov Palin on a weekly basis are in a froth over this. SNL is desperate for ratings they got with Sarah. They weren't funny then and they are not funny now. This is not going to add the old luster.

SNL has been this way for 30 years. This is by far nothing new by any stretch of the imagination. Have we all become so 'politically correct' since the days of 'All In The Family'? Remember...the days when we could all laugh at ourselves? Political satire is in every newspaper by every cartoonist and has been for decades. Anyone ever watch The Daily Show?

The truth is that Paterson IS legally blind. The truth is that he DID admit to using coke. The truth is that he DID have an extra-marital affair. The truth is that upstate NY IS pathetic! How dare SNL air such 'lies'!

We seem to have no trouble blasting the dems as a whole or Stratton or Gillen or Savage every chance we can get. Stratton stutters and some have no problem poking fun at him for that. And yet SNL crossed the line???? Come on here people!!!

And then Paterson makes the comment that this was not a good thing for 'children with disabilities' to see. That it is sending the wrong message.Would someone tell me exactly how many 'children' are up at 11:30pm on Saturday night watching SNL?

Paterson has a lot more to worry about with his ridiculous taxes he is going to impose on us pathetic upstate New Yorkers than some SNL skit. And if he picks Kennedy to replace Hillary, he will have put the last nail in his coffin!

"Oriley" WTF?. Maybe when you post something slightly amusing you will have some credibility.

All In The Family was funny because of the brilliant writing. SNL is not and hasn't been funny in a long time. This has nothing to do with political correctness. SNL writers are from hunger and totally wasted the great talents of Gov. Sarah Palin. By the way they were right about Schenectady politico's having something "off about them". Take another look at the Krats from Stratton to Gary Hughes {D-MVP}. A nonstop laugh riot especially from Saratoga County.

This liberal thought most of this was funny...not the wandering around, befuddled so much. Most of the liberal blogs that I visit mentioned the outrage, but nothing frothy...

The Palin skits were funny because they were imitations of one of her most distinguished characteristics, her accent. I grew up in Wisconsin, and this was spot on funny. What made them even funnier was that Tina Fey was able to quote verbatim some of her "liberal" media interviews.

They were right on about Schenectady! The hightest taxed county in the nation for starters. Not to mention that the pathetic upstaters continue to vote the same sad bunch in. And they were right on about drugs upstate. And lastly, what a poor excuse we have for elected officials.

SNL is as funny as the news/politics. They beat the he** out of the Clinton/Lewinski fiasco. And let's not forget how they hammered Bush over the WMD. Palin was an excellent target. They have spoofed Pelosi a few times. And how about Quale's spelling of potato..e?

Like I said...just watch their ratings soar this week!

It's a comedy show.....our own technology has brought us here.....Rome used to just use what we now Political correctly call "taggers".......they would
draw and write everything and anything for the public to see.....nothing new under the sun here....and the pendulum is just swinging the other
way......PC is now BC.........thank goodness......
