The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the Capital Region until 9 p.m.
The watch includes nine counties in New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie and Ulster.
Temperatures reached 66 degrees this afternoon in Albany, according to the National Weather Service. Showers and thunderstorms are likely later this afternoon.
