Sorry to hear that you feel that way somebody. I am glad to hear that you are one of the fortunate ones who makes money no matter what our government does. Perhpas you should start your own message board called 'It's all about me'. That seems to be very fitting for the society we live in today.

And thank you for caring about the rest of us and what direction YOUR country/government (that allows you to make money and to discuss on these issues through free speech on this message board) is moving.

State rep says son focus of Palin e-mail hacking rumors

News Sentinel staff and wire

NASHVILLE - State Rep. Mike Kernell said today that he was aware of Internet rumors about his son being the subject of speculation that he accessed the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Asked whether he or his son, a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, had been contacted by authorities investigating the break-in of Palin's account, he responded:

"Me, no."

As far as his 20-year-old son, David, he said: "I can't say. That doesn't mean he has or hasn't (been contacted by investigators)."

Kernell, D-Memphis, cited the father-son relationship.

He said he had talked to his son today, but that he talks to his son regularly.

He declined further comment.

Attempts to reach the younger Kernell for comment were not successful.

The FBI and the Secret Service started a formal investigation Wednesday into the hacking, according to the Associated Press.

A first-hand account reported by the Associated Press suggested her account was vulnerable because a hacker was able to impersonate her online and obtain her passord.

The alleged hacker, using the e-mail address rubico10@yahoo.com, posted Wednesday to a forum on the website 4chan about how he used Yahoo! Mail's password-recovery tool to obtain the Alaska's governor password.

"i am the lurker who did it, and i would like to tell the story," rubico10@yahoo.com wrote.

The hacker guessed that Alaska's governor had met her husband in high school, and knew the Republican vice presidential candidate's date of birth and home Zip code, the Associated Press reported.

Using those details, the hacker tricked Yahoo Inc.'s service into assigning a new password, "popcorn," for Palin's e-mail account, according to a chronology of the crime published on the Web site where the hacking was first revealed.

Yahoo declined to comment today on details of the investigation, citing Palin's privacy and the sensitivity of such investigations, according to the Associated Press.

The person who claimed responsibility for the break-in did not respond Thursday to an e-mail inquiry from the Associated Press.

The break-in of Palin's private account is especially significant because Palin sometimes uses non-government e-mail to conduct state business. the Associated Press reported.

The Associated Press and Commercial Appeal of Memphis contributed to this story.

I am glad he will not be arrested in this thing over here but the facts is that she will be for having the illegal emails on the yahoo showing how sneaky and dishonest she is by breaking federal laws. McCain will be booting her any day - I saw on Greta Von Sustern that she IS getting the boot and that people all over are reqauting she not come to their events around america since she is scandalous and unqualified. Now they are calling her Sara Qualein too so that shows you people Sal was right, like Papa, you all should have listened to us.

As usual Sal you have the facts all wrong again. If they prove that it was the Democratic representatives son who hacked her e-mail account he could be brought up on federal charges.

As long as there's always another political race, there will always be a new political low.

It is hardly all about me-Born in Ellis hospital-  I grew up in Yates Village - attended Yates school thru 6th grade- single mom-  Gives me some street cred-  -But yes I crawlled my way out of poverty

You are the one that only seems to care about your little group of friends-

Meanwhile back to finding out the truth-
McCains Mafia ties:
In 1995, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona. Another politician to send regrets was Governor Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies relating to fraud and extortion-

Hey this is fun- you guy want to make it a " dirt " finding mission ?  OK game on-

Notice the topic of the thread....how low will politics go?

It relates to Shadows post # 6

All it proves to me Sal is that Obama still surrounds himself with corrupt people of the same caliber who got him elected in the first place. Why haven't the media investigated Obama's corrupt dealings in Chicago and published the real facts about him?

Am I going too low now ?  Its your game-

Somebody....it seems that politics, no matter what party, will sink to all time lows just to win their election. We see that locally as well. Andthey ALL flip flop. I'm afraid that expecting anything 'better' from our campaigners is just pi**ing in the wind.

If the hacking of Palin's email was truly orchestrated by the dems, it really is no big whoop here. It is just a new form of technology that canbe used to hijack another candidate. The reps probably wish they had thought of that first.

Don't get me wrong...I think it was an invasion of privacy at it's best....but it appears that there is nothing 'off limits' in todays 'how low willyou go campaigning'.

If you look at both parties new TV campaign adds they both lie like a rug and it's getting so there's no honor in politics anymore. The party who tells the most lies wins.

I dont understand politics at all.  When Im channnel surfing I go right past anything political- I am freakin serious- maybe I stop for a minute but thats it-

I have opinions about specific issues- drilling not drilling - stem cell- abortion and basicly how humans treat each other-
I consider myself a conservative liberal- but the liberal part is most probably because I have slightly wild hair for my age- I dress a little different and I prefer the original version of Stairway to heaven over Dolly Partons
I have no problems WHATSOEVER with McCain and Palin or Obama and Biden- but the stuff that is being thrown around is too much

- look no one posting any dirt even makes this forum dull-

I am financially retarded but I happen to have a special talent which gets me work from architects  in the Casino or gaming industry-
I am self employed- I pay for my own insurance- when my expenses go up-gas or whatever - I raise my price

But I technicly have no security- never have-

Im not even reading about the finacial crisis- because almost nothing affects casinos- people view gambling as entertainment- like renting a video-

But the internet will help you find dirt on anyone- and I wasnt kidding about Mother Teresa

I think you are a conservative republican and just don't know it yet! I have slightly odd hair for my age, I dress different too......always jeans and tee shirt until October when I trade in the tee for a turtle neck.  I also prefer the original Stairway to Heaven over ANYTHING Dolly Parton could ever sing.

C'mon people lets find some dirt to post so we can entertain Somebody and keep her coming back

On this forum we trash every party equally as one party is as bad as the other. I think that both parties will give us a ton of dirt to post between now and November. I think you're right Rene that Somebody is a conservative Republican. Most of us post here and go to town/city/county meetings hoping to change the way our legislatures are running our city/county but try as we may nothing seems to change except that our taxes keep going up.
