The county says it has all the funding to complete the Bike Trail in Pattersonville , so why don't they do it?  It is only about a half mile and would cut down on its current use as a dirt bike and ATV trail. If you encounter dirt bikes, snowmobiles or any other motor vehicle on the bike path in Rotterdam, all of which are illegal in Rotterdam , call New York State Police , Canal detail 866-833-2986 . I and others I know have had near misses on the path nearly being run over . My eighty year old sister should not have to leap out of the way of ATVs .

Thanks for the info yarbdoc. And I agree with you that if the town has the money to complete the bike trail...why aren't they? There is so much unfinished business in Rotterdam. They talk of doing so much and nothing is ever done!!! They seem to just are 'okaying' new developments in this town but are not 'fixing' or 'finishing' anything that is in need here.
