The government seizes 437 children in a polygamist community based on a prank phone call claiming sexual abuse of children as young as 13 years old. On the other hand, our public schools are teaching about sexual intercourse at 10 years old. What's the government doing, preparing kids who may be interested in joining the FLDS? The hypocrisy amazes me. What happened to the innocents of children and parental rights? The homosexual lobby doesn't care about their innocents, or parental rights. They just want to advance their agenda of moral relativity. The younger you "brainwash" them that there are no sexually immoral behaviors the better.

Quote Huntly And teaching kids about homosexuality is important. Kids have to be aware of it other wise they will have prejudice against it when they grow up.
And like Huntly states,,,,,It's the governments responsibility to circumvent those parental rights of instilling in their children that homosexuality is an unacceptable behavior according to their religious doctrine. It may even be considered child abuse teaching your children that homosexuality is immoral behavior. Remember......It's for the good of society......We're progressing!
You must remember in this modern society that we live in, and in a country based on LAW....Child abuse and Polygamy is AGAINST THE LAW OF THE LAND. Homosexuality is NOT!! Agree or not, that is the law of the land!
Someone just pointed out to me today that MTV displays and promotes a gay/lesbian lifestyle. I was told, since I have never seen it myself, that girls are kissing girls and visa versa. My take on that is that parents have control over MTV. In fact they can even cancel cable...by choice. However...I do not pay school taxes to have homosexuality taught in the school system where the only choice I have is to keep them home from school that day. And that is only if they inform the parents before hand.

You must remember in this modern society that we live in, and in a country based on LAW
Do the LAWS only pertain to the citizens and not those in government? Children were separated from their mothers based on false accusation. No arrests were made in regards to the warrant that was issued, children in shipped all over the state to foster homes. No talks of arresting the men or women for violating polygamy laws.
The polygamist should have joined the feminist and gay revolution of the 60's and maybe by 2008 public schools would be teaching our youth about accepting pluralism
Perhaps the government was acting 'above of the law'. Perhaps it was a knee jerk reaction.I'll give ya that one. But I still say...when you receive any information about possible child abuse...GET THEM THE HELL OUT OF THERE FIRST!!!!! Deal with the wrong doings of the government AFTER!
If the government DIDN'T do anything and sent all of those children back to this compound...people would be up in arms. It is a damned if ya do and damned if you don't situation. And if the government was reacting above the law, there are clearly enough attorneys involved in this case that this will surely become a major legal issue.
Are our laws, decisions, verdicts all correct? Absolutely not. Look at all of the people that have spend years in prison for a crime they never committed only to be released after new evidence (DNA) surfaced. Some have chosen to sue for wrong doings and win. Perhaps this will be the case in the end.

The polygamist should try to force their beliefs and lifestyles on the rest of society, like the gays, lesbians and transgender do. With the likes of Oprah and Dr. Phil being our moral authority, telling us this lifestyle should be celebrated. Americans are suspicious of those who keep to themselves and don't attempt to jam their lifestyles down our throats. . It's unthinkable that people might have that live and let live credo, and not want to join this wonderful society. We assume they must be brainwashed or hiding something immoral or illegal.
If the authorities believed that all the adults on the estate were unmarried and having an a huge sex orgy, while the children were watching Sponge Bob Square Pants and playing XBOX in a separate room this would be a non-issue. It would be normal. After all........ Hugh Heffner has a hit television show glorifying his pluralistic lifestyle. Nobody seems to have a problem with that. That's because the women fit a more acceptable image of what a liberated women should look like. That look happens to be half naked, unlike the fully clothed women of the FLDS. The women of the FLDS need help breaking those religious chains of bondage. Even if it means by government force.
Homosexuality is another word that replaces----what folks????----yup,,,,old fashioned bible beating sodomy...........so package it as you will,,,,there are laws.....so even when the sheeple are staring at the truth right in front of them it still looks like the wolf in sheeps clothing.......go figure.....where is our true shepherd??????
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

CAPITAL REGION School ‘silence’ event aims to end bullying BY MICHAEL GOOT Gazette Reporter Reach Gazette reporter Michael Goot at 395-3105 or mgoot@dailygazette.net
Students may be quiet today in an effort to send a loud message about the rights of gays, lesbians and transgenders. Schools throughout the Capital Region are participating in the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network’s “Day of Silence.” Students plan not to speak for all, or for a portion of the day, to show support for the cause. Spokesman Daryl Presgraves said the goal of the event is to bring attention to bullying in schools, particularly bullying based on sexual orientation and gender. Presgraves in a phone interview said a 2005 National School Climate survey of 1,700 gay, lesbian, and other students reported that four out of five said they had been harassed. Almost two-thirds said they felt unsafe at school because of their sexual orientation. “Students are fed up and they want their schools and their classmates to know that they think that everyone deserves to feel safe,” he said. More than 6,500 students have registered to participate. Presgraves said students can participate in a way they believe is best for them. The goal is to bring attention to the problem. Presgraves said they are keeping mind the story of Lawrence King, who was shot and killed Feb. 12 by another student at a school in Los Angeles. He had been bullied by this student because he was gay. The event started in 1996 at the University of Virginia. The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network became the national sponsor in 2001. Among the local districts that are participating are Albany, Saratoga Springs, Schalmont, Schenectady and Scotia-Glenville. Scotia-Glenville spokesman Bob Hanlon said students have observed this for the past few years. There is no organized event around it. “Historically, we’ve just been very low key about it and kids do what they feel they want to do,” he said. Schenectady City School spokeswoman Karen Corona said the district is also allowing students to participate. The district asks that if students are in a class that requires discussion, that they participate. Parent Kevin March, whose children attend Schalmont schools, said he was concerned about the protest and planned to keep his children home from school. He said the children not speaking would be a disruption to the classroom activities. “It’s not something that should even be pushed in school. They have no right to push it either way on parents,” he said. Presgraves said the bigger disruption is when students are bullied and harassed and schools are not stopping it. “It’s a day about solutions. We’re trying to find a solution to the disruptions these students experience every day. They’re more likely to skip class if they’re bullied. They’re less likely to go on to college. They feel less of an identity,” he said.
