Democrat and Republican are labels.  Liberal and conservative are ideologies.

If Paterson continues to talk like this, I, as a registered Conservative, may have to pledge my support to
an enrolled Democrat for the first time in a long while.

Before I commit my support to Paterson he's going to have to show me the results of his actions as I'm very skeptical due to previous politicians telling us all that they are going to do then they do nothing. From now on I'm from Missouri and you'll have to show me.

OK, so you're now from the "Show Me State," however, will there be any of the "Compromise?"

* The 640 public authorities. "Only 11 are regulated, "so maybe we should find out what the other 629 do because they consume billions of your and my dollars every year," he said.

* Enterprise zones "that haven't solve the problems" of unemployment for which they were designed.

* Industrial-development agencies that aren't increasing business.
If Gov. Paterson follows through researching these issues and makes some changes with them....it will also be be the first time I vote for a dem.
