Route 7 in Rotterdam reopened

ROTTERDAM -- State Route 7 near the Rotterdam Industrial Park has reopened, town police said.
It was closed briefly this morning following a report of an ammonia leak, which turned out to be unfounded.

Firefighters from Rotterdam District 2, South Schenectady, and Schenectady Fire Department along with Hazmat teams assemble at the Rotterdam Industrial Park Tuesday morning for an ammonia leak. Work crews have been replacing lines. Fumes entered a building on the property and a few people had to be evacuated. Route 7 by the industrial park was closed during the response.
