Hudson Assault puts one man on life support

HUDSON - The assault has placed one man in the hospital on life support.  Police say the altercation stemmed from one man accusing another of sexually abusing two young girls.

Police say thirty year old Bruce Smith accused Floyd Sanders of molesting his two young relatives.

The argument quickly escalated into a heated physical fight in an upstairs apartment at 449 State Street.

"It sounded like a major war was going on upstairs, it was really bad. My ceiling sounded like it was going to cave in, it was really really bad," said Gil Dayton who lives downstairs.

Police say when they got here they found a large pool of blood inside the apartment and Floyd Sanders on the back porch.

"The police officer ran down the stairs to tell the ambulance department that the guy was suffocating on his blood, he was chocking on it he couldn't breathe," added Dayton.

Gil Dayton lives in the downstairs apartment with his family. He just moved in a month ago and says he's already thinking of moving out. Sanders was air lifted to Albany Med.

When we visited the building, a woman screamed obscenities at us from the upstairs window. She kept saying she thinks Sanders got what he deserved. This man who claims to be friends with Sanders says the same thing.

"Floyd Sanders touched a couple of little girls, the girls admitted it and people took action he got what he deserves," said a man who claims to be friends with Sanders.

The man says the young girls also live in the building and they are around 6 and 11 years old.

Police are investigating and have called Child Protective Services.

Smith is currently charged with violating his parole, but police say felony charges are pending.

I have heard many-a-men say that if anyone touched their kid, they'd take it into their own hands just like this guy did. He certainly isn't in the minority with his way of thinking. He is just in the minority for actually acting it out. He just took justice into his own hands.

Ain't that the truth.....it's the consequence not what to do after......
