I would like to get to listen to it. I would like to hear Mr. Amedore and what his take is on this issue.

I didn't get to listen to this right from the beginning. I started to listen at 1:30. All points were valid. The students were just as professional and informed as the "professionals". They were very insightful.

There seemed to be a general consensus that Schenectady County's solution of dealing with sex offenders was NOT the answer. The opinion of most was that this should be handled at a state level. They feel that the state has more resources than the smaller municipalities in comparison. Mr. Amedore elaborated on that subject.

The students also stated that politics needed to be taken out of the solution. They also noted that fear seems to be the push behind the means.

Mr. Kosuir's name was not mentioned, but the state assembly race was. But the statement that, "Mr. Amedore's opposition ran his campaign on the sex offender issue and it blew up in his face" was mentioned. And everyone seemed to agree.

These are not their exact words. It was my own take on the discussion. There was much more discussed and much more information shared. I don't know if they replay any of their broadcasts, but if they do, it is really worth listening to.

Of course the state should be line....set the standard and follow through....case by case and with bite.....as for GPS tracking I think that is a very fine line to dangerous areas....the fact is that society also needs to be aware that these folks exist and pay attention, not fearful, just paying attention....the fact is those caught and convicted are just that-caught and convicted- the rest are still out there.....
