Nov. 20 is the day set aside by Gov. Spitzer and the state Legislature to recognize school support staff. School-related professionals work hard supporting the education of our children, safely transporting our students to and from school, keeping our buildings safe and clean, running the offices efficiently, providing nutritious food and keeping our children healthy. School-related professionals work side by side as partners in education with other school staff on both the front lines and behind the scenes every day. Take a moment tomorrow, or any other day, to seek out the support staffers who work in your child’s school and say “thank you” for a job well done. JULIET C. When I see them do a "job well done," I'll thank them, until then, any criticism that is due will be handed out.
There are only but a few educators that do a quality job. And a thank you is not needed. In fact they should be thanking us for their paycheck and benefits.
