Did the Metroplex, on which Mr. Golub is a member of the Board, provide funding for this project?
The title of this thread is hypocritical. Metroplex is working to relocate jobs from the Town of Rotterdam to the City of Schenectady (e.g., Golub Corporate Headquarters, Villa Italia, etc.)
I DONT believe so, but I could be wrong. As a personal opinion, I can't believe even Golub would have the audacity/cajunes to take funds so publicly when they're all aware of the HUGE conflict of interest and impropriety involved. I could be wrong, but let's say "I HOPE they dont"
Don't know if Metroplex provided funding to Golub Corporation or not. What is/was the role of Metroplex on these projects, for which Gillen takes credit?
Mr. Golub is a successful businessman. I don't believe that he or his company require any support or input from the Metroplex.
Yes, the Golub's are very successful , savvy businesswo/men. And because they believe and practice private enterprise, I would be led to believe that they do not accept taxpayers money for their economic benefit or expansion.

It all depends on the 'legal terminology' or the lack thereof.......everything is legal unless it is deemed illegal---whether it is right or wrong is another issue......

Metroplex is also planning on sharing costs with the town to upgrade the sewer treatment facility to allow for a private developer to build a sewer line down Route 7 and is helping the Hamburg Street Merchants Association.

They have attempted to hide their own record of tax increases by making foolish criticisms of county leadership. Metroplex gave $8.1 million to Rotterdam to provide tax relief and economic development. Instead, the Republican majority has used these funds to hide the financial mismanagement of its failing regime.

Saccocio was selected by the town in August to fill a vacancy left when Arthur Brassard was appointed the Republican Board of Elections commissioner. Two months later, Rotterdam’s Town Board issued a terse statement demanding Savage, a Democrat, immediately take up Saccocio’s appointment. Rotterdam Town Attorney Gerard Parisi, Saccocio’s law partner and the town’s Republican chairman, echoed this statement again during the county Legislature’s meeting last week. Parisi chided legislators for taking nearly six months to vet Saccocio. “This lengthy failure of your board to act in appointing a Rotterdam representative seems not only embarrassingly political, but it is also in clear violation of law,” he told the Legislature. Savage said “I think it’s time for people to stop playing politics and let us get back to bringing in new business.”

And this has helped the overburdened taxpayers in the city of Schenectady..........HOW?
