Keep raising the taxes in NYS and soon there won't be anyone left to tax and most businesses have already left.

It's already included...don't forget that when you get your car inspected to make sure it's tip top shape, you now have to pay a separate charge for emissions testing...what you're pumping back into the air...and then there's the gas taxes.

Hey, if there's a way to tax it, they'll figure it out.

hey you go somewhere else over here this is still the big apple and they wont take care of you so well in other places with the schools and nursing homes and that. Try down south they are still buck toothed hillbillies who are red neck racict and repubs and they have the hospitals and care we have over here

You mean that Southerners don't get the great care of our lowest rated home County Home? This is the typical moronic response you get from tax lovers here. We spend more per student than any State. In Florida they have one superintendent of schools for the entire County. In little Schenectady County we need 7 not counting private schools. Our  County Krats raise property taxes over 9% in a recession refusing to cut anything. In Southern States their property taxes are 90% lower than here. They laugh at the fools that keep re-electing the same tax and waste politicians.

I must say that the south does have poor reputation in the nursing field....not the nurses themselves but their 'standards'......

one can go anywhere in the country with a NYS nurses license and immediately it is accepted....however, NYS does not accept all states licensure....

A friend of mine went to Florida and applied for a few jobs and was offered positions on the spot due to being licensed in NYS.......

1.5M New Yorkers moved out of state this decade, study finds

By ERIC ANDERSON Business editor
Last updated: 12:32 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009

The Empire Center for New York State Policy in a study released today finds that New York lost more residents between 2000 and 2008 to other states than any other state. New York had a net domestic migration outflow of more than 1.5 million people, or 8 percent of the population.

Of course, the US Census Bureau says there are half a Millon more people living in NYS now then in 2000..which leads me to this statistic..

73.2% of all statistics are made up on the spot...

An influx of immigrants from foreign countries more than offset the domestic loss, and the state's population has grown since 2000.

So are they saying that as many people left nys, the same amount moved in? Who would want to move to nys.....ON PURPOSE? Well, perhaps those looking for the generous tax paid 'handouts'.
