or it means that a certain person  and her merry band of lunatics have been lying all along ...

Which leads to the question -- how much did she get paid by Mohawk to lead the "hatchet job" against REMS    ??????

I have already answered that question...several times...I don't need to be paid for common sense and doing what's right.

What was promised to you for making make a fool of yourself????

The only 'liars' are you and the REMS scammers....led by your good buddy Tony Jasenski. You have yet to come up with a single
VALID defense of the scam otherwise known as REMS....and their "great service" is not a defense for theft and deceit.

BT - Or....D. REMS was in such disarray when they were allowed to do the billing that they only collected for a fraction of the calls...just enough to cover their operational deficit while they were awaiting medicaid payments tied up by the whole IRS issue. And the only figure Hamilton would have would be how many paramedics were dispatched over a given year. He CAN'T bill, and therefore would have nothing to do with billing. The only thing he ever said was that REMS was billing. The thing I still find hilarious is that roughly the same amount of money that REMS allegedly stole that everyone is all hot about is currently being stolen by another certain elected official who hasn't showed up to work in more than a year. Talk about misguided anger...

You are obviously referring to the AWOL Town Clerk.

I for one do not agree with her legally collected salary, benefits, stipends, etc. during her long term absence...and I believe the
Town Board should reduce her salary to a single digit figure...as I do not believe she and her family would continue with what
really amounts to fleecing the public if it was no longer lucrative.

The difference is, we know how much she is collecting and the law allows her to do it. REMS has never accounted for one cent of
the money they collected ILLEGALLY.

The former does not constitute theft...the latter does.

You can not reduce an elected official's salary  in the middle of a budget year -- and there seems to be some dispute as to whether it can be legally reduced to $0  .. unless you eliminate the position .. and every town must have a Town Clerk .. so you can't eliminate the position.    I believe - but am not 100% certain - that a salary reduction would only take effect at the start of the NEXT term   (January 1, 2014).

As for the continued attacks on REMS -- REMS has been an important part of the community for many years -- it provides a great public service.    The only folks who are still publicly attacking it are probably receiving money from some private for-profit ambulance service to encourage the NNN's to defame this wonderful non-profit ambulance service.

The salary does not have to be eliminated, it can be reduced to a dollar.  The position does not need to be abolished.  The timing for a change is during the public hearing on the 2012 Budget in November or the organiztional meeting on January 1.

I believe you can increase a salary during the term ..  but not decrease it during the term.   I have asked several lawyers and gotten different answers on the matter.

There are other legal ways to approach the problem ... but this is not the place to have that discussion or, at least,  I choose not to have that discussion here.

It appears that  the old biddy hasn't lived at 22 Keator in over a year, that in itself would be grounds
to reduce her salary, she is no longer a Rotterdam resident.  She has spent six months in Florida and
six months in Clifton Park. We could all send her get well cards and see if they come back with a little
yellow sticker from the postal service stating "F*ck all of you, love EE and family"!

It's ashamed what the Democrat Party did to Eunice's once good reputation by allowing her to continue to hold that seat and rob the taxpayers.  Now when residents travel by the park named after her, it will be a constant reminder of the hundreds of thousands she fleeced from the taxpayers.  Public servant my a$$, it's more like parasite.  She was dishonest while in office, now she and her family will seal her legacy by being lumped into the Rotterdam history of dishonest thieving crook political families.  Wasn't she appointed by Jimmy Constantino?  Go figure...'birds of a feather'.

So Tony J can publicly lobby on behalf of a mismanaged REMS in order to suck MORE money out of the taxpayers pocket, BUT, he has nothing to say to lifetime Democrat EE sitting at home collecting two taxpayer funded paychecks for doing nothing?  Not ONE Democrat has spoken against the thievery Eunice is committing.  Now the Revitalize Rotterdam team has rewarded a non-profit that has been robbing the taxpayer for years. The Revitalize Rotterdam team revitalized the practice of taxing the residents and lining their cronies pockets.  Who represents the taxpayer on this Town Board?
