you say this right after you claimed he committed fraud and the next day the REPUBLICAN Judge throws the case back in Amedore's face!! You should be ashamed and embarrassed just like Amedore was and still is he never even showed up at court, what a COWARD!! He is to embarrassed to even call back the reporter, how Pathetic!! And you are as well!

I was not a petitioner in this case so I did not initiate the fraud claims... but based on Angelo's own testimony I do believe he
committed fraud because what he admitted to doing is, in fact, fraud.

Frankly, I don't even believe that he was physically in the AD collecting those signatures as he claimed...it is very difficult to believe
that there were that many people in the same stores in Schenectady from everywhere but his AD...but how else could he essentially
claim that those people didn't know where they live if they weren't in Schenectady...how nice of him to remind them by changing
their addresses.

You are joke, you know as well as anyone that has gone around getting petitions signed, their  will be invalid ones, Amedore has had several of his signature thrown out when had to get his petitions signed. So you and Amedore are both hypocrites and the republican judge agreed! Otherwise nobody could ever go get petitions without facing criminal charges, get your facts straight, you’re always screwed up! You are a hypocrite!!

This type of referendum can not be put on the same ballot as a General Election  -- that is
the way the law is written in New York State.
As for property owners (1 vote per property) only being allowed to vote -- that is also the way
the state law is written  .. as this is a vote  Yes or No on a Tax District ... the same thing
happens when they vote to create a sewer or a water district ...  that is the way that the state
wrote the law.
As for the number of polling places and allowing absentee ballots - I believe that is up to
the Town Board to decide when they write the resolution calling for the referendum.

They can't exclude people of a particular party or minorities -- if the person is a property
owner they can vote.

So, a married couple, BOTH TAXPAYERS have only one vote?  What if they disagree?  I mean, in a way one would cancel the other out, but the principal issue is, who gets to vote?  The man or the woman?  THe black spouse or the white spouse?

Sometimes three people own the house, mom, dad, and adult child.  Suppose dad is handicapped, can't get the polling site while mom and daughter have the opposite choice on this issue from dad.   if it's only one vote per property, that's two against one, and the handicapped owner would not be able to vote.

Sounds rather communist

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

No lies from MT!!!! REMS is STILL paying their back taxes WITH the already over burdened tax payer's money!!!! They might just as well be bankrupt!!!

It's a little too late for REMS! In a county that is the 19th highest taxed in the country,(thank you SUSAN SAVAGE), the over burdened taxpayer can NOT afford even one more penny in additional taxes!!!

It is not too late for REMS  .. they will paid off the back taxes soon
the FACT is     REMS is NOT  bankrupt .. and it is a distortion of the truth or an out and out lie to say that
it is bankrupt  ...   REMS' enemies will use scare tactics and lies to try to destroy a vital public service.

Unfortunately, that is the way the state law was written for referendums on special tax districts.
The same rules apply trying to create a new sewer or water district -- 1 vote per property.

And what if it was a separate line in the general election? Wouldn't EVERYONE get a vote?

There is a huge difference between incidentally invalid signatures and fraudulently altered information...the only signatures I
have ever had invalidated were duplicates taken later than the witness on a competing petition....one of the most common
reasons for invalidating signatures. "Their" will always be signatures invalidated on that basis...just as "their" will always be
someone homonym challenged.

Not only that, but multiple property owners will only have one vote as well...yet they would be expected to pay the tax on each and
every one of those properties.

The REPUBLICAN judge re-appointed by DEMOCRAT Governor Patterson did no such thing...he simply suggested from the very
beginning of the proceeding that numerous fraudulent signatures would not necessarily render the petition permeated with
fraud...which is a matter of interpretation and opinion...and suggests a predisposed opinion. You also forgot to mention the
precedent that would render that petition permeated with fraud under the admitted circumstances.

The REPUBLICAN Judge flat out told Amedore's Taxpayer paid lawyers that their was no fraud. Amedore has had several of his signature thrown out when had to get his petitions signed. So you and Amedore are both hypocrites and the republican judge agreed!
