How about our legislatures in Washington get off their lazy butts and do the job we elected them to do. The people in this country[ about 80%] have said that they want to close our borders, enforce immigration laws, and send anyone who is here illegally back to the country of their origin. Our elected officials had better start listening to the citizens and stop worrying about losing votes.

The Proof is in! Majority of Americans oppose "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" Amnesty!

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)

We painfully watch as a few designer polls, that falsely claim a majority of Americans support "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" or a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens currently in the US, get a great deal of press in the print media. The large volume of polls that contradict this claim get little coverage in the media.

But now the proof is truly in, and I hope many will join with me in daring Congress to take up "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" in 2008. Come on Congress, make my day!

The reason this unpopular legislation failed last year and the reason Congress is reluctant to take the issue up during an election year is they know the truth is a majority of American reject changing the current laws to allow illegal aliens to stay in the US.

If the propaganda coming out of the mouths of open borders fanatics like Rep. Joe Baca, (D-CA) or Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) were true, then members of Congress would be rushing to bring the legislation to the floor and eager to campaign on it in the 2008 elections. The fact that members of Congress do not want to address the legislation or campaign on it is proof that a majority of Americans reject the legislation.

Furthermore, if a majority of Americans really favored "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" amnesty, then why have 35 states passed immigration enforcement only legislation over the first few months in 2008? Why would Michigan, Oregon, and Maine cut off licenses to illegal aliens?

While a small group of states have passed a very small volume of bills to assist illegal aliens, the trend is clear that 95% of the legislation is designed to detect and arrest illegal aliens, push them out of jobs, and stop them from driving or receiving taxpayer benefits!

According to today's article by Patricia Zapor titled 'States take up immigration bills; Congress stays on sidelines' state legislators have considered more than 1,100 bills already in 2008 and the vast majority are for enforcement and lacking the benefits described in the DC bills calling for reform.

This is because most of our state legislators know what the public wants and are responding with enforcement bills.

So we can see that the massive trend towards enforcement only laws passed by states during an election year, combined with Congress trying to pretend the bills don't exist are proof that the public mandate rejects "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"

In closing, I want to point out that we have hundreds of polls showing that nearly 80% of Americans want the borders secured, local police enforcing immigration laws, no licenses for illegal aliens, no taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens, and businesses that hire illegal aliens to be punished.

The "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" bills supported by Baca, Gutierrez, McCain, Kennedy, Graham, Martinez, Clinton, Obama etc. would override all of the existing laws, which are supported by the public in these polls. It is insanity to believe the fake assertion that 80% of Americans oppose licenses for illegal aliens, but would support a bill in Washington that would give them all licenses. Are we to believe that 80% of Americans want local police to enforce immigration laws, but not on the 12-20 million illegal aliens in the US after Comprehensive Immigration Reform passed? By what stretch of the imagination should anyone believe that 80% of Americans do not want taxpayer benefits going to illegal aliens but it would be OK to give them taxpayer benefits after they paid a small fine and signed up for a new ID under Comprehensive Immigration Reform?

The truth is that the overwhelming evidence proves that a super majority of Americans oppose Comprehensive Immigration Reform, Guest Worker Program, Temporary Worker Program, Path to Citizenship, etc... That is why the supporters of amnesty have to keep changing the name!

A majority of Americans support the enforcement of our existing immigration laws only, which results in illegal aliens returning home on their own or with government assistance.

Any lawmaker, candidate, reporter, activist, or organization that supports the current lack of enforcement of the existing laws, or supports the overthrow of these laws by passage of new legislation, which a majority of Americans oppose, is a traitor to the American republic and an enemy of the citizens of the United States.

"We The People of the United States" will hold each of you accountable for the lost American jobs, tax monies, and lives suffered because of your agenda. We will hold you accountable for attempting to overthrow our Republic for which our flag stands, destroying the self governance of our citizenry, and subjugating the American majority by depriving us of the power to decide policy in our own nation at the behest of Global corporations.

Adams's four years as president (1797–1801) were marked by intense disputes over foreign policy. Britain and France were at war; Adams and the Federalists favored Britain, while Jefferson and the Democratic-Republicans favored France. An undeclared naval war between the U.S. and France, called the Quasi-War, broke out in 1798. The humiliation of the XYZ Affair, in which the French demanded huge bribes before any discussions could begin, led to serious threats of full-scale war with France and embarrassed the Jeffersonians, who were friends to France. The Federalists built up the army under George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, built warships, such as USS Constitution, and raised taxes. They cracked down on political immigrants and domestic opponents with the Alien and Sedition Acts, which were signed by Adams in 1798.

These Acts were composed of four separate and distinct units:

The Naturalization Act, passed on June 18
The Alien Act, passed on June 24
The Alien Enemies Act, passed on July 6
The Sedition Act, passed on July 14
These 4 acts were brought about to suppress Republican opposition. The Naturalization Act doubled the period required to naturalize the foreign born to American citizenship to 14 years. Since most immigrants voted republican they thought by initiating this act it would decrease the proportion of people who voted republican. The Alien Friends Act and the Alien Enemies Act allowed the president to deport any foreigner that he thought was dangerous to the country. The Sedition Act criminalized anyone who publicly criticized the federal government. Some of the punishments included 2-5 years in prison and fines of $2,000 to $5,000. Adams had not designed or promoted any of these acts but he did sign them into law.

Those Acts, and the high-profile prosecution of a number of newspaper editors and one Congressman by the Federalists, became highly controversial. Some historians have noted that the Alien and Sedition Acts were relatively rarely enforced, as only 10 convictions under the Sedition Act have been identified and as Adams never signed a deportation order, and that the furor over the Alien and Sedition Acts was mainly stirred up by the Democratic-Republicans. However, other historians emphasize that the Acts were highly controversial from the outset, resulted in many aliens leaving the country voluntarily, and created an atmosphere where opposing the Federalists, even on the floor of Congress, could and did result in prosecution. The election of 1800 became a bitter and volatile battle, with each side expressing extraordinary fear of the other party and its policies.[43]

The deep division in the Federalist party came on the army issue. Adams was forced to name Washington as commander of the new army, and Washington demanded that Hamilton be given the second position. Adams reluctantly gave in. Major General Hamilton virtually took control of the War department. The rift between Adams and the High Federalists (as Adams's opponents were called) grew wider. The High Federalists refused to consult Adams over the key legislation of 1798; they changed the defense measures which he had called for, demanded that Hamilton control the army, and refused to recognize the necessity of giving key Democratic-Republicans (like Aaron Burr) senior positions in the army (which Adams wanted to do in order to gain some Democratic-Republican support). By building a large standing army the High Federalists raised popular alarms and played into the hands of the Democratic-Republicans. They also alienated Adams and his large personal following. They shortsightedly viewed the Federalist party as their own tool and ignored the need to pull together the entire nation in the face of war with France.[44]

"I also would like to end with pointing out that a large percentage of the babies born at our facility are from illegal parents."

I hope Ms. Plato realizes that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution does not apply to the new babies, giving them an immediate status of citizens of the United States of America.

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Feds arrest 58 undocumented workers in raids on 8 eateries
Thursday, July 24, 2008 Robert L. SmithPlain Dealer Reporter
Federal agents walked into Mexican restaurants in Oberlin, Vermilion and six other Ohio communities Wednesday and walked out with 58 workers in handcuffs.

The dishwashers, cooks and waitresses now in federal custody are all Mexican citizens recruited to work here illegally, federal authorities say. They are likely to be deported.

None of their bosses has been charged with a crime - yet.

The raids at eight Casa Fiesta restaurants is part of larger workplace enforcement strategy that infuriates immigrant advocates, who say it brings down the hammer on hapless workers.

"These people are not criminals," said David Leopold, a Cleveland immigration lawyer. "The worst thing you can say about them is they came here to feed their families."

Leopold is to testify before a congressional subcommittee in Washington today on the need for comprehensive immigration reform. In lieu of that reform, he said, the government is using police actions to support a broken immigration system.

Immigration authorities say they are enforcing the law as best they can, in part, by targeting businesses that purposely hire undocumented workers.

"This was just a step," said Brian M. Moskowitz, the special agent in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of Investigations in Detroit. "This is part of a criminal investigation of a company that is violating U.S. law."

The law allows his agents to act quickly against people suspected of being in the country illegally, he said. Building a criminal case against an employer takes more time.

At about 11 a.m. Wednesday, ICE agents executed criminal search warrants at Casa Fiesta restaurants in Norwalk, Oberlin, Vermilion, Ashland, Youngstown, Sandusky, Fremont and suburban Toledo. They also searched a home in Norwalk, where the restaurant chain is based, said Greg Palmore, spokesman for ICE.

He said agents detained 54 men and four women, all from Mexico. Three of the women were released on their own recognizance "for humanitarian reasons." That usually means they are mothers caring for children.

The men and women likely will be deported as soon as possible, Palmore said.

On April 16, immigration agents raided Jalapeño Loco in Mentor and six other Mexican restaurants in five states and detained 45 suspected undocumented workers. Soon after, federal prosecutors brought criminal charges against 11 restaurant owners and managers, accusing them of recruiting and harboring illegal immigrants.

The workers detained Wednesday are in the custody of ICE's Cleveland office, which says family members can check on their detention status by calling 216-535-0510.

That's it----we have more undocumented 'sex offenders' that are American citizens per square mile than immigrants to collect.......

Well, atleast here's some job openings for some of us pioneering Americans......

The Golub warehouse employs an aweful lot of folks from 'minorities'----why?---because we couldn't possibly let our kids do that kind of work now could we?????

bottom line----I cant afford your work and you cant afford mine......so lets pay someone we can afford.....

BTW---I see we are having a difficult time affording this war on 'terror' and our life styles of the rich and famous at the same time........where have we gone?---and it certainly didn't just start 8years ago.......it's a blanket we have woven,,,election after election, trade after trade etc........

Undocumented- illegal workers came  into New Orleans- after Katrina- cleaning the mold off walls, ripping the guts out of buildings, removing mountains of soggy debris and cleaning up alot of RAW SEWAGE

The army of Latino workers did most of the dirtiest cleanup work, usually for less money that local workers might insist on....

It was said that"People in the area of impact are disjointed and  disoriented"-

There was so much work to be done the local residence- went into a sort of coma watching the illegal aliens work- but then after things got cleaned up everybody got mad- at the illegals- and said " hey I COULD have done that "-

Grassley, 12 Other Senators Call for Passage of E-Verify Reauthorization Bill in Senate
Wednesday, July 30, 2008, 10:41 AM

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) yesterday led a group of Senators in asking Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to ensure passage of legislation to reauthorize E-Verify before the program expires in November. In a related press release, Sen. Grassley noted "Congress is running out of time to reauthorize and even enhance E-Verify. If this program expires, it gives employers even greater opportunity to hire illegal aliens…It's time for the Majority Leader to act and ensure this tool is available for employers who want to do their part to comply with the law."

Sen. Grassley and twelve other Senators -- Kyl, Specter, Isakson, Vitter, Chambliss, DeMint, Sessions, Inhofe, Ensign, Coburn, Graham, and Allard – sent a letter to Majority Leader Reid noting that nearly 80,000 employers use E-Verify now and more than 1,000 employers voluntarily sign up for the program each week. The letter notes that businesses using the program need to know Congress will not let it die, and that extending the program will keep employers accountable while giving them the tools needed to abide by the law in their hiring practices.

In June, Sen. Grassley introduced legislation (S. 3093) that would permanently reauthorize E-Verify and makes several improvements to the program. Among other things, the bill would require: businesses who have a history of illegal hirings to use E-Verify; employers to re-verify employees who are in the United States on temporary status; and federal contractors to use the program (something already being implemented by the Bush Administration).

NC Newspapers Go Wild For Gheen!
(Making Illegal Alien Supporters Scream)

July 31, 2008

by William Gheen
President of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)

My success, and that of our organization ALIPAC, is now reaching new levels in the fight against illegal immigration, especially in my home state of North Carolina! Our accomplishments are documented by the fact I've recently become the favorite political bad boy of the illegal alien supporting print media in my state!

You know you are doing something right, when the old guard print media in your home state goes into rabid attack mode and starts taking their lies to a new level of exposure and vulnerability. With this level of attention from these tabloid writers, I'm starting to feel like the Rodney Dangerfield of NC Politics!

It appears that some of the most staunch supporters of illegal immigration in the NC press are feeling highly threatened by ALIPAC's operations, and my efforts, otherwise we would not be seeing this cacophony of mudslinging.

Mary Schulken of the Charlotte Observer tries to convince readers that I am like the charismatic, yet fictional Hollywood villain "Bill the Butcher" from the movie Gangs of New York. Kristin Collins of the Raleigh News and Observer wrote another highly biased article with just me versus five of my opponents, to assert that somehow I am associated with mysterious letters to Hispanic leaders that threaten death, dismemberment, and bombings! Of course the opposition leaders are reporting this to the reporter, without providing any evidence, instead of filing any police reports. And of course, there's not a shred of evidence that I have anything to do with these alleged threats, but hey all is fair in love, war, and politics right?

Today, one of the biggest rats on the sinking ships weighed in with an attack. Scott Mooneyham, who claims he is a member of a group called the 'Capital Press Association', is spewing his vitriol at me claiming that ALIPAC is nothing for anyone to worry about in the upcoming elections.

Scott Mooneyham's hit piece contains nine heavily distorted or blatantly false statements dressed up as facts in his four paragraph hit piece!

Nine lies in such a small space! I'm flattered. So far, only one newspaper has run his propaganda piece and I'm a little disappointed that more did not pick up the editorial, so we could smear more of the cracked eggs that Mooneyham has served up on their faces. Will publishers be more wary of Mooneyham's writings in the future after this?

Scott Mooneyham has affixed his baleful glare on my progress for many years. He has been holding his tongue fighting the temptation to attack me in the open, fearful of the added credibility I would gain from such an effort.

But a great sense of calm has come to me today and has me grinning ear to ear. There are three reasons I'm happy to see these unsubstantiated attacks raining down from the ivory towers.

First, these liars who work for the opposition tabloids would not go to such great lengths and efforts, or put their character shortcomings on display on this scale, if they did not feel threatened by our strength and accomplishments in the battle for immigration enforcement. Each writer is going after me personally or with some set of details outside of the illegal immigration issue. It's the only option they have because they are afraid to challenge me on the issue because they now know my stances are favored by a large majority of their readers.

Two, we are winning! As a seasoned campaign professional, I know the rules on negative attacks. The candidate or group that is in the lead does not resort to negative attacks on their opponent because they are in the lead. Launching negative attacks on your opponents, instead of addressing the issues, is a sign of a losing campaign which trails behind the leader.

Three, from my extensive personal experience of bringing down entrenched corrupt political status quos in the past, this kind of screaming is a sign of the end for my adversaries.

In battles where this kind of wild and desperate screaming did not emanate from my opposition, we usually lost, but in cases where it did, it was a sign of their impending collapse.

For Mary Schulken, Kristen Collins, and Scott Mooneyham, to play these cards it means that they are finally seeing the writing on the wall. The telltale hearts of their past misdeeds, bias, censorship, and slaughter of the truth is coming back to haunt them in Shakespearian fashion.

While I could easily respect these tabloid writers for having a different opinion than me on immigration, and I could even respect that only a small segment of the population shares their views, I cannot respect their willingness to lie to the public. I cannot respect their refusal to report crimes, when the culprits are illegal aliens caught murdering, gang raping, and assaulting our innocent citizens.

They are exposing themselves as anathemas to real journalism because they are more concerned about influencing the opinions of readers than reporting the facts.

Their guilty consciences are showing and manifesting in their personal attacks on me.

I'm the one trying to save lives and they are the ones supporting inaction and policies that are resulting in preventable deaths and suffering.

Most importantly, the thing that I believe is really setting these fiction writers on the warpath is that they are finally starting to realize that their monopoly on information flow has been broken.

They fear the fact that I've been on seven talk radio shows, in this state on a regular basis, warning listeners about the bias and censorship we face in the papers. They have lost control of political debates when they see me on Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or CBS, as well as many local TV stations expressing my opinions to the public about illegal immigration.

My direct contact and sizable support from NC Lawmakers drives them even futher up the wall. To my knowledge, they have never faced organized resistance to their radical and unpopular politics, with this level of sophistication before.

I have described many of these papers as dinosaurs breathing their last gasps of comet dust, soon to expire because they cannot compete in the more egalitarian and populist new media.

I'm more of a messenger in this equation than a leader, and they certainly want to shoot the messenger because my words burn their eyes and ears. I speak for voices they want silenced!

I'm smiling today because one of my top motivations for creating ALIPAC was to bypass their information hegemony in this state.

The fact that they have finally drawn their mighty pens, dripping poisonous ink, against me is a testament to my growing notoriety and influence. My abilities to confront them come from two sources. The people who support me and my goals empower me, and I invite the Lord to dwell within my heart, as much as possible.

After all, if these people did their jobs right there would be no concealed information for me to share with the public, and state policies could be crafted in an atmosphere of truth and clarity. I am meeting the demands they have neglected.

The chickens are coming home to roost in North Carolina, and I am but the first bird of the morning breaking the silence of the night to greet the glow of the approaching sunrise in the Eastern sky.

Let's all raise our voices in a chorus for the new dawn of truth, which will send these shrieking unclean and hateful birds back into the political darkness where they belong.

Soon, NC Lawmakers and real reporters across the state will read this response, as well as, hundreds of thousands of online readers, but most importantly this will be read by Mary Schulken, Kristen Collins, and Scott Mooneyham several times over.

Okay-----here's my question......so he is good at keeping them out of NC or is he good at catching them and sending them home???? there is a big difference on that.....because,,,,if you're not sending them home then he is pushing them into other states---like NY or worse yet.....underground.....

whenever our government decides to 'get real' about drug/people traffiking (like they did after 9/11,,,,my oh my the ships they 'sunk') then, justice and righteousness will prevail....until that time illegal immigration is a moot point and just some podium for magic smoke to be blown up our butts......just like the subprime issue so goes the illegal immigration issue----THEY ALL EAT A THE SAME TROUGH AND KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEIR VOTES LIE......

I dont support illegal immigrants but we must follow the fishing line to its end.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
