What a hypocrite. You never made any of it happen, and when it was announced you were as quiet as a church mouse like all the other democraps. And if you think that you are gonna sell your line of bull then I can tell you that there is a short man of large stature who will vehemently tell you to your face how little you had to do with it. Team-Rotterdam. what bullshit. More group think.

The liberal socialists inject themselves into any issue that will bring attention to themselves.....even if it's not true.

You are misinformed or lying.   When the Parks and Recreation Commission met during the summer, I metthe president of the Challenger League for the first time.  When he informed me and the rest of the
commission to find a new home for the league -- I and most of the commission IMMEDIATELY were supportive of the efforts.   When Mr. Tomassone and the Challengers came to an understanding about the league
using the fields at Woestina --  I and most of the commission was supportive and offered our assistance in
whatever way we could.      When the Daily Gazette printed that article last October trying to make a political issue out of the proposal -- I and most of the commission stood behind the Challengers and we reiterated
that it should NOT become a political issue.    I spoke with at least 3 of the 4 candidates of my party who
were running for the Town Board -- and shared my views with them -- and they were supportive of the
Challengers moving to Woestina and agreed that the use of the fields should NOT be a political issue.

The priority of the Parks and Recreation Commission was and remains find the most reasonable solution(s) to allow EVERY league in the town to be able to continue to offer their programs and to LET THE PARKS BE    ENJOYED BY THE PLAYERS  (kids and in the case of the Challengers participants of all ages).

I was NEVER quiet as a church mouse on the issue.   I went to the candidate forum at the Senior Center and
was quite vocal in expressing my displeasure that anyone would try to make the question of a new home for the challengers a political issue.    I recall that the fat bald guy who used to be on the County Legislature
tried to provoke an argument by implying that I was in cahoots with the person quoted in the Daily Gazette article.    The FACT is that other than saying hello to that person (the one quoted in the Gazette) at a
couple of events earlier in the year -- I have never had more than a passing conversation with that person ..and  certainly never even spoke about Rotterdam Parks in general or the Woestina issue.

After the election, I met with the Supervisor-elect and -again - reiterated that not only me but most of the
Parks Commission supported the Challengers being allowed to use the fields at Woestina.   He agreed with me that there was a reasonable way to resolve the "dispute" and that most importantly --- let the kids have fun and enjoy the ball fields.

Sometime soon after the 1st of January, I again spoke with the Supervisor about working out the "dispute" .. I gave the supervisor the phone numbers of the heads of the two leagues and sat there as he called them both up to set up a meeting in the Supervisor's office to resolve the "dispute".

As I have said all along,  the Challengers and their supporters raised the money and did the work.  I have
never said or implied anything more.    But I will NOT let you continue to lie about me on this issue.

Finally,  the bottom line is that the Challengers embody the philosophy of what WE  (not just me) on the Parks Commission refer to as TEAM-Rotterdam.   Town residents working together to accomplish a goal that
improves the town in general and the parks & recreation program specifically.

The fact that you and your ilk keep trying to twist this issue into a political issue SPEAKS VOLUMES about
how you will roll in the sh*t to discredit the good work of anybody -- including the Challengers -- for your
political gain.

ROTTERDAM
Little League finds a home

BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter

Following years of uncertainty, the Rotterdam Little League has secured a permanent home for its games.
The Schenectady County Legislature on Tuesday night approved a license agreement with Rotterdam Little League Inc. that lets it use nine acres in Rotterdam indefi nitely for playing fi elds.
The county is buying the property off Burdeck and Thompson streets for $260,000 from local developer Tim Larned in order to establish a new county park. It is using $2 million set aside in 2005 for capital improvements to parks. The Little League will be able to use the park for games, but the park itself will always be open to the public, said County Attorney Chris Gardner.
Gardner said the property is appraised at $600,000. Larned plans to seek credit for a state and federal charitable contribution of $340,000, the difference between the appraised value and the purchase price, he said. ....................>>>>............................>>>>..........................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01302&AppName=1

I hope that the park has a lot of money for maintenance to repair all of the vandalism that will be done to the park and it's structures.

This is a disgrace.

Judy Dagostino and her band of greedy thieves basically steal that property from the Republican Club under the guidance of a snake otherwise
known as Tom DeLorenzo...and the elite few walk away with hundreds of thousands of dollars for a property in which they never invested a dime.

Now they force taxpayers to completely underwrite the re-purchase of the same land with public money in the form of local taxes and an obviously
huge tax break for the same seller they bought it from in the first place...and of course they expect no criticism because after all it's for the kids...the same kids they didn't think twice about when they took those fields out from under them.

What a bunch of thugs....taxpayer rapists.

Gadfly,   someone recently told me that story and they said Judy & gang were ordered by the court to surrender the proceeds of that sale to a charitable organization.  Of course, they probably got a tax write-off if that is true.    Any idea if they had to give up the cash?   What a scam!

I was at the court proceedings when they were trying to take this money...the only "order" was the decision that the thieves involved
were "entitled" to the cash because of their particular "non-profit" status. The only "charitable" donation was from Judy D., only after
heavy criticism, for a reported $12,000 to the Boys and Girls Club....about 10% of the take...less than the taxes she would have paid
on comparable "income"....and I'm sure she got a tax write off for that too....since it was a tax deductable "contribution"...which I'm
sure is the reason she carefully chose that organization. She wouldn't have donated anything that wouldn't be tax deductable.

Well in my neighborhood that would be called a greedy thief. Through their whole life, Bob and Judy (Hogan) Dagostino have never
had any use for anyone except those who can do something for them...and as soon as they serve the useful purpose they are tossed
away like a used napkin.

I'm disappointed by your comment Yossi...to call someone who has spent a lifetime fleecing taxpayers to line the pockets of her
family isn't smart...it's just plain greedy and selfish...and it's a dominant gene in the Dagostino bloodline.

So, I guess this means that Mr. DelGallo is going to be bringing his own equipment down there and is going to start on the fields imediately, so the kids have a place to play, since Mr. Larned is happy to sell this property for seed money to put up all his apartments on the current fields, huh?

Gadfly--you are too harsh.  And did Dagostino do this while she was still a Rep or a Dem?    Having grown up in Rotterdam the politics, the people, and the players haven't changed much.  Glad I have been gone for so long. The short stint I spend in Rotterdam each week is enough for me.
